Dreadnought Hotel

A ghostly girl is said to haunt this hotel but her origins are unclear. In some versions of the legend, she was the wife of the founder of the hotel, Francis MacNab, who had his wife walled up. The other version is that she was a servant who was made pregnant by MacNab and he threw her out of an upstairs window. Sobbing and weeping coming from one of the bedrooms is the hallmark of the second phantom and it is said that this may be an illegitimate child of MacNab who was drowned in a well in the basement. MacNab himself is also reputed to haunt the hotel.
