St Saviour Church

Sometimes on the stroke of midnight, a grey lady whose clothes date her to the 18th century, she emerges from the church and walks the length of the building where she waits, sometimes pacing up and down, before vanishing. A persistent tale is that an amateur ghost-hunter was allowed to be locked into the church overnight; in the morning, he was found dead, his face a mask of terror (or that he was a gibbering wreck - versions differ!). Another rumour is that a phantom Viking has been seen outside the church.
