Stubley Hall

A spectral woman haunts this building; she is said to be called Fatima, engaged to Ralph de Stobbley, who had the building constructed in the 13th century. He set off to fight in the Crusades, but found love with another woman and Fatima died an unhappy lady. When Ralph returned to his afterwards, he is said to have died after hearing harp music coming from the nearby woods - Fatima was adept at playing the instrument. It is also said that Ralph walks the hall, too, as does a Roundhead soldier seen staring into the fire in the hearth, and a young girl playing in the nearby fields.
