Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem

A noisy ghost, said to be a dark figure, has also been heard in the cellar, "stomping around as if wearing heavy boots." Some say he is ex-landlord George Henry Ward who died in 1914. He was given the nickname "Yorky" and is blamed for items being moved around. It is claimed that a pair of foot soldiers were also seen to walk through a wall here. In one of the rooms, the smell of rose water and lavendar has been detected and the sound of glass breaking has been heard. A very dark figure has been seen, as has a man with blonde hair in woolen garments and a pair of 17th century people walked through a cellar wall.
