The Bildeston Crown

There are many ghosts associated with this pub, including; a man in a tricornered hat seen near the front door; a spectral lady drifting across the courtyard (she may be the "Grey Lady" who is said to wave goodbye to customers); a redheaded ghost accosts men in the toilets; the sound of childrens money box is sometimes heard and two children in Victorian attire are occasionally seen; a man in baggy brown suit wagging his finger is sometimes encountered; and a woman wearing a grey dress (perhaps the same as mentioned above), who it is said was a maidservant who committed suicide is another ghost. In addition, strange sounds, footsteps have been heard and there is a feeling of someone clutching the back of people's necks. Room 4 is reputed to be one of the "hot spots" of spectral activity.
