St James Palace

In 1810, Ernest Augustus, King George III's fifth son, was assaulted while he slept, possibly because of his poor attitude to other people. Shortly after the assasination attempt, the body of his valet, Joseph Sellis was found and it was felt that he had tried to kill Augustus and, being unsuccessful, then took his own life by cutting his own throat. His spectre is said to appear in the room in which he died (and perhaps other areas), his throat gaping open. The smell of blood and the sound of a struggle have also been mentioned too.
