Royal Victoria and Bull HotelThe most famous phantom is said to be a "petulant" eight year old girl named Winifred who perished of tuberculosis in the hotel; she is said to have an aversion to alterations at the hotel, smashing glasses and windows. Other ghosts include a dog that "helpfully warms the feet of guests" (!) and a cavalier whose presence is heralded by the smell of cigars. Link Kent Online |
