The White Horse Inn

The ghost of Reverend Sampson Horne (or Hievar) has been seen in the inn; when he was alive (in the 17th century), it was his vicarage and he was a fervent believer in Cromwell's puritanism but when Charles II came back to the throne, he spoke against the government and the Archbishop of Canterbury had him removed from the parish of Chilham. Horne decided to continue living in the village.

Update 4/3/20: Ryder Blakeley of the inn replied to me, saying that, "Yes, we have the occasional unexplainable activity here. Sometimes footsteps in the attic area, knocking, and on the odd occasion I've had candles light themselves, once after I'd just blown them out. Nothing that feels malicious though."
