The Black Robin Inn

The ghost that haunts this inn is a highwayman named Black Robin; he was caught and hung, leaving the broken hearted innkeeper's daughter, with whom he had a relation, to die of a broken heart. Shortly afterwards, the spectre of the Black Robin was seen to approach the pub from the location of the gibbet, and after leading his horse to the stables, he entered the bar and vanished. Then came the sound of weeping from the cellar. Other reported phenomena include the sound of rowdy behaviour in the bar. The pub's website says that, "locals say that on a dark winters night the sound of groaning can still be heard outside of the pub!"
