The "mess"

Walking along a very narrow passageway along from the starboard side from the gallye, one enters the "Mess". The skylight is the one that can be seen directly in front of the bridge in exterior views. The engine is in a small room on the port side, directly under the bridge (the room also doubles as the yacht's toilet!); it is said that the original engine is in storage elsewhere. The third image is a photograph of the mess as it was during Lightoller's time; the clock was from the Oceanic's bridge which Lightoller took when the ship ran aground and was wrecked. Its current whereabouts are unknown. |
