Every year, thousands of animals are abandoned. Loved and loyal pets become surplus to someone's lifestyle or the owner has passed away, or in some horrific circumstances, horribly abused. These pets are left to wander the streets, struggling for survival, or end up in animal homes. Sometimes there is a happy ending; the pets find a new home in a loved environment but usually, there is the familiar outcome; the animals end their days unwanted, and usually, put to sleep.
It breaks my heart.
It doesn't have to be like this. These beautiful creatures could be coming home with you today. The pleasure that a beloved pet imparts is without compare, in this author's opinion.
