Customise your Doctor Who scarf

The wonderful Doctor Who Scarf website prompted this latest project. After viewing some fantastic custom-knit scarves on the Facebook STITCHES IN TIME: THE Who scarf knitters, prop makers & Cosplayers group, I thought a webpage might help fans with their own designs. The actual designs come from the Doctor Who Scarf page, where you can find more information on tassels, the joins, blocking and knitting tips.

So, how does one use this page?

• First of all, select the scarf you want.
• Secondly, select your height. There seems little point in having a scarf knitted for Tom Baker if you're a lot shorter or taller than he is! The pattern and width will scale according to your height.
• Thirdly, click on the colour boxes in the "Replacement" column. You can select a colour from the pop-up box or enter numbers directly.
• Click "Apply". If you don't like your initial design, keep trying. Or you could try a random selection of colours. If you want to start again, press "Reset".
• Don't be afraid to experiment. You can't break this page. But if you do, let me know and I'll fix it. I might even buy you a jelly baby :)

Two things to bear in mind: unlike the designs on the Dr Who Scarf webpage, you knit the patterns below by going down the columns, and when you reach the bottom, stop and go to the top of the next one. The other thing to remember is that the scarf webpage shows how the scarves mutated with additions, alterations and removals; so, if you what you see here isn't quite what you want, you might want to peruse that page.
