Renishaw Hall

The home of the Sitwell family, it was once the resident of 13 year old Henry Sacheverell, who, it is said, seems reluctant to leave his old house. He was given the nickname of "The Little Boy in Pink", renowned for giving lady visitors three cold kisses. In the early years of the 20th century, a grey haired lady in a white cap and a two tone blue crinoline dress was seen to walk along a corridor and disappear at the spot where, twenty years a door to a haunted room had been; in an effort to expand the staircase in the 1890s the wall of the bedroom where the ghostly boy had kissed the ladies had been knocked down and a lidless coffin was found. Although there was no body in the coffin, there were indications that it had held one once.
