Best Western Lion Hotel

The ghost here is said to be an 18th century servant named Alice, who fell in love with the owner of the hotel but he was not interested. In a state of distress she hung herself. She is seen in the older portions of the hotel especially the corridor over the archway that joins the street to the bar, and also the kitchen where she throws the fridge door open, moves utensils and bangs doors. Also, in room 201, a member of staff who was off duty reported the room became "hot and oppressive" and felt a pair of hands pressing down on her chest, hindering her breathing.
