Old Hall Hotel

Cold spots, radios being switched on and off, footsteps and phantom giggling, a member of staff feeling a hand on her shoulder, kitchen utensils and cutlery being moved and a shadowy figure that went through the closed door into the ladies toilet have all been experienced here. Sir John Ratcliffe, who built the manor in the 17th century, has also been seen on occasion. Other apparitions include an old lady in room 11, two girls aged about 12 and said to be prostitutes, a "Grey Lady" and a suitably attired beekeeper. Also seen from time to time is a phantom dog in room 1 and a spectral cat.
