The Trout Inn

King Henry II's mistress, "Fair Rosamund" has been seen in this location, and the poltergeist-like behaviour of disturbing the furniture, knocking over of glasses and wine bottles etc. has been attributed to her. She has been known to make the occasional physical appearance and has been noted to walk on her knees; this is because the floor level has been raised in the intervening centuries since her death. Also reported is whispering, cold spots and the smell of flowers.
