Southfleet Rectory

The site of the rectory is that of an ancient priory. During Medieval times, 3 nuns were caught in compromising situations with monks and were all bricked up in the cellar, being left to starve to death. One of these nuns (said to be only 4 feet 7 inches tall) has been seen on the site of the rectory and resisted an attempt at exorcism in 1874. A ghostly monk who had been excommunicated by the church is also seen. The other ghost is that of a nurse that appears in the Monk's Room, dating back to the 19th century. She has been seen by a number of visitors who have reported her walking the corridors and asking if there was any sickness in the building.
