Slyfield House

Horses hooves have been heard outside the window of a bedchamber used by Sir John Fenwick when King William III's men arrived to arrest him for plotting against the monarch. In another bedroom, an invisible entity shakes the bed at night, blamed on a Royalist who was dragged out of his bed by Parliamentarian forces and executed. A "Grey Lady" also walks the grounds; she is said to be downcast and dismal. A hazy "Blue Donkey" (!) is said to appear at midnight on November 14th in the hall then leaps over the gate at the bottom of the staircase making its way upstairs.
