Hever Castle

This is the family home of Anne Boleyn, the 2nd wife of Henry VIII and mother of Elizabeth I. She was beheaded for adultery and treason and her ghost has allegedly been seen riding through the gates of the castle. She is also said to walk the castle on Boxing day singing "doleful" love songs. The Long Gallery has an unpleasant cold atmosphere, and children report a horrible looking man in Henry VIII's room - but adults cannot see him. There are other phantoms observed here, while outside, the road is the haunt of the spectre of a farmer who has robbed and murdered for the money he had gained from the market. He is reportedly seen in a state of rage.
