Sedgemoor Battlefield

Phantom horsemen (sometimes appearing as "green blobs"), the sound of thundering hooves, voices that implore invisible soldiers to join in the battle, and the ghost of the Duke of Monmouth (dressed in "flowing white" according to some sources) have been reported here usually when a mist hangs over the ground, as has the spectre of a young girl; she drowned herself after her lover, a Roundhead, was shot and killed even after he was promised freedom if he performed his captor's challenge to run as fast as a galloping horse. Some sources say the Roundhead runner has also been observed from time to time too.
